What goal(s) have you dedicated your life to achieving?

I, personally, can’t think of anything and feel that might be a source of the frustration I feel. Perhaps your answers will inspire me to find direction in my own life. Thank you for taking the time to respond.

How important is it to try to get into a school with more prestige attached to its name? Why shouldn’t I just go to a smaller, cheaper school and get accepted into almost the same pre-professional programs? What affect does the school’s prestige have on later success in life? Are there more opportunities for advancement and growth if I go to a more renowned school?

I am leading a debate in class and I picked this for my topic. I would love to here your opinions on this subject. Can you still live happily and well off without a college education?

I believe in having as many kids as you like. As long as you can afford them!!!!! Having children for a living and depending on public benefits to finance your “job” is a disgrace!!! I think something should be done to eliminate this behavior. People should be rewarded for working for a living and doing the right things in life instead of women getting handouts to reproduce. What do you think. Example ( Nadya Suleman)

Does being a success in life require perfection your whole life, or can you screw up majorly, and still bounce back? In my case, I was a good person growing up with above average grades, then in high school I got into partying, drugs/alcohol, and that whole thing and my grades plummeted, and my gpa as well at like a 2.5, however this was towards the absolute END of high school, so I still managed to get into a somewhat decent college, on a scholarship. Then after about two and a half years I managed to screw that up, with a similar GPA of around a 2.6 ish which really wasn’t good enough , at least for myself and my parents, so I went over to another less competitive school and finished with a 3.2, which isn’t too bad, but finally grew up, cleaned up, and learned alot. Went bankrupt from too much debt about 3 years ago lol, and had lots of health issues, which affected my memory and whole life.

All in all, I went through hell. I’m 25 now. Settled down w/someone, and back on track
I just went through alot, and made horrible life choices. I know it’s basically never too late, but people make a huge deal out of even little things like a fraction of a point on their gpa’s and tiny minute things, which in order to be highly successful , counts.

I screwed that up beyond hope. lol.
So what can I do to basically be healthy mentally, and still have a successful and productive life?

Successful people are too highly competitive and smart, and just seem to be out of my league.

But I want to be like them.

If it isn’t in my cards, should I just give up?

My boyfriend believes the guys who are jocks in high school and participate in football are more disciplined. He says the guys who participate in football this fall are more likely to succeed in life because of the discipline they have in high school sports.
I think he has a screw loose and participation in high school sports is not discipline enough to make you do well in your carreer choice or in your life.
Do you think he is nuts, or am I ? I just think he is being ridiculous. My family are not at all sports minded, but my brother retired at the age of 35 and was very successful, and we have an attorney, an electrician and 2 nurses in our family and none of us were in sports.
Where does he get his crazy idea’s?

My father might got it from clinical operation for his hernia when he was young. His platelet reaches 6 million and we’re recently using Agrilyn which I think only controls his platelet count but not exactly curing his illness. Were there cases of this same situation where platelet production went back to normal? How was it done?
